Common questions
What counts as an electrical emergency?
A fault that is unsafe to leave: a burning smell, visible scorching or smoke, sparking, water reaching electrical equipment, or a total loss of power the main switch will not restore. A breaker that trips again immediately every time you reset it also counts, because it is containing a live fault.
What can wait until normal working hours?
A single dead socket, one failed light fitting, a buzzing dimmer, an extractor that stopped, or one breaker that resets cleanly and then stays on. If nothing smells or looks burnt and the rest of the installation is behaving, it can wait and you will pay a normal rate.
How much is a call-out?
We tell you before we travel, on the call or by message. It depends on the hour and the distance, so a single number on a web page would be misleading — but you will never learn it for the first time on the invoice.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. Quotes for planned work are free and are fixed figures, not estimates that move once work starts. We visit and measure rather than quoting from a photograph.
How quickly do you arrive?
Typically 60 to 90 minutes across the seven towns we cover. Elche and Villajoyosa are at opposite ends of that area, so we give you a realistic time on the call rather than a flattering one.
Do I need to increase my contracted power for an EV charger?
Usually not. Dynamic load management lets the charger measure what the rest of the property is using and reduce its own draw to fit, which is cheaper than raising your contracted power and paying a higher fixed charge for the rest of the time you live there.
Can I install a charger in a communal garage?
Yes. In a comunidad de propietarios you have the right to install a charging point in your own space and only need to notify the community in writing beforehand. Their approval is not required.
What size air conditioning unit do I need?
For a normal 20 m² room in this climate, roughly 2 to 2.6 kW. Orientation changes that substantially — a west-facing top-floor room with big windows needs considerably more than a shaded north-facing one of the same size, which is why we measure rather than ask what size you had in mind.
Is solar worth it here?
Usually, because this coast gets around 3,000 hours of sun a year and a well-oriented kilowatt of panels produces roughly 1,500 to 1,700 kWh annually. What decides the return is how much of that you use yourself, since exported surplus is compensated well below what you pay to import.
Will solar panels keep my lights on during a power cut?
Not on their own. A standard grid-tied system shuts down in an outage for safety. Running through a cut needs a hybrid inverter, a battery and a designated backup circuit, specified deliberately at the design stage.

Yes, in English and Spanish, including all quotes and documentation.
